SCOTT BURGIN

Scott has been working in Film, Television, Commercials and advertising since 1993. He has Produced and Directed for shows on the Food Network, Fine Living Network and the Discovery Channel.

 

Scott developed and produced the critically acclaimed feature film “DRINKING GAMES”.   He also acted as Line Producer on “DRINKING GAMES” in which he controlled all finances and brought his first feature in, under budget, for a sum below $1,000,000.  The film was released on home video in 1998 by Spectrum Films and on DVD nationwide in 2000 by distributor Indie DVD.

 

In 2002 Scott and Kerry Lambert produced the short film “A Blue Christmas”.   “A Blue Christmas” was the first prize winner of the Scenario Magazine/Short Film Group Screenwriting Contest.  The short was shot on 35mm with a budget under $50,000.    It later won the best cinematography award at Worldfest film Festival in Houston.

 

“Fun with Benny” is the most recent short film produced by Scott.  “Fun with Benny" is the second recipient of the Scenario Magazine/Short Film Group Screenwriting Contest.  Shot on wide screen 35mm, the film  played at Film Festivals worldwide.

 

Scott is also a screenwriter and completed the feature length screenplay “Amazing Grace” with co-writer David Robinson. .  The script was a finalist in the 2003 Final Draft screenplay contest as well as the 2003 Writers Network/Fade In Magazine screenplay contest.   Scott most recent writing project is a one-hour television drama, “American Standard” with Kerry Lambert and David Robinson.  “American Standard” was a finalist in the Scriptapalooza TV screenwriting contest for 2006 and was a top three finalist in the Slamdance/Fox21 2007 Teleplay screenwriting contest.

 

Scott received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Advertising from the University of Oregon and prior to working in the film industry was an award winning copywriter and art director in both television and print advertising in Portland, Oregon.

 

Scott  has directed and produced commercials, music videos and corporate videos for such clients as BMW, Nature Valley, Sharper Image, Apple, AIG, MetLife, Mattel Toys, MGA, Playmates Toys, Propel, Jakks Pacific, Spinmaster, Disney, Moose Toys, Washington Mutual, Investors Business Daily, Compaq, Intel, Microsoft, K-Swiss, Seagram, Ford, Western Dental, Nike, Honda and Lincoln/Mercury.  He has worked with such music artists as The Goo Goo Dolls, The Sun, Jewel, Anastasia, Five for Fighting, Bryan Adams, Laura Turner, Faith Hill and Seal.  He brings to all projects his broad experience and understanding of the filmmaking and television process.   For the past 30 years Scott has worked on over 1000 commercials, music videos, films and television shows.
